BOOKING TERMS & CONDITIONS

It is the responsibility of each guest to read the terms and conditions of your booking. Your booking is bound by these terms. Payment of Deposit to Shamrock Vacations signifies acceptance of the following terms and conditions;

Passage to Ireland:

Shamrock Vacations is an incoming tour operator providing a ‘land only’ service. Shamrock Vacations therefore is not responsible for passenger travel into or out of the state of Ireland. Shamrock Vacations may sell airline tickets as part of an affiliate program but all responsibility for the sale of the airline rests with the licensed agent. Shamrock Vacations will not be responsible for any delays, cancellations or other hindrance of passage to Ireland.

Deposits & Payments:

For bookings made more than 12 weeks before departure, a non-refundable 25% deposit of the land-cost total is required. The remaining balance is due 90 days prior to departure. There are certain exceptions to these deposit requirements for certain products and they are listed below.  If full payment is not received, reservations will automatically cancel and deposit payment become forfeit. No travel documents or confirmation numbers will be e-mailed out until full payment has been received. We accept payment by Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express, checks and bank transfers. Payments by credit/debit card will not be accepted within 90 days of arrival and payments by check will not be accepted within 21 days of arrival. In this case Shamrock Vacations will supply bank details to process payment by money transfer.

Cancellations:
Package tour dates are not guaranteed. Should tour suppliers cancel the itinerary prior to arrival Shamrock Vacations will offer the next available date at no additional land cost. If this is not acceptable, a full refund of the cost of the tour will be made. Shamrock Vacations cannot accept responsibility for any additional costs or fees relating to such a package booking. If you purchase a non-refundable airline ticket, ensure that you understand the conditions under which the ticket is issued, as Shamrock Vacations is not responsible for any cancellation penalties due to non-refundable airfares.

General Cancellation Fees:
Up to 10 weeks before date of arrival – loss of deposit
Between 9 to 3 weeks before arrival – 50%
less than 3 weeks – 100%
Shamrock Vacations recommend you purchase travel insurance for your vacation and will be pleased to advise you of products to suit your chosen package.

Amendment Fees:
You will be charged, an amendment fee of $30 (“Amendment Fee”) by Shamrock Vacations for all permitted passenger-initiated changes made, after receipt of deposit or full payment by Shamrock Vacations. Hotels, Car Rental companies, Coach Hire etc. may charge additional fees for changes or cancellation. Changes to or cancellation of part or all of your travel package must be notified to Shamrock Vacations in writing before we can make any changes or cancellations.

Travel Documents

Travel Documents including confirmation numbers will be emailed 21 days in advance of departure date.

Unused package arrangements:
Shamrock Vacations cannot make refunds or exchanges for unused accommodations, services or features of any package unless agreed upon prior to departure. Claims or disputes should be submitted to Shamrock Vacations in writing no later than 28 days after the end of the tour.

Travel Insurance: 
Shamrock Vacations is not responsible for mechanical breakdowns, government actions, weather, acts of God, misconnections or related expenses to/from flights or other circumstances beyond its control. To guard against unforeseen circumstances, we strongly recommend you purchase travel insurance.

Trip Delay:
Shamrock Vacations will not be in a position to reimburse or compensate for lost travel arrangements due to your arrival into Ireland/Britain being delayed beyond your scheduled arrival date because of delay or cancellation by the air carrier. We recommend that the Guest purchase Trip Insurance to protect against this.

Car Rental:
Reservations will be secured on receipt of your deposit.  It is the Guests responsibility to notify Shamrock Vacations if they are in breach of any of the car rental company’s terms & conditions.  Separate Terms and Conditions are sent for the Car Rental Companies.

The Car Rental Company will require a credit card imprint when you are picking up your car to cover any excess (deductible), fuel deposit etc. If you do not carry a credit card you will need to pay a cash deposit to cover this excess (deductible), fuel deposit etc. Cash rentals are not allowed on all car types so please check the Car Rental terms & conditions from the relevant car rental company: Hertz, Europa Car or Dan Dooley. All our Car rentals include all compulsory insurance, unlimited mileage, and all taxes.  There are no hidden costs or taxes but all car rental companies will offer additional optional insurances at the point of pick up. If you take out these additional optional insurances you will be billed directly by the car rental company.  Please see further information at the end of this document.

Hotel Accommodation:
Reservations will be secured on receipt of your deposit.  Shamrock Vacations will book the hotels requested by the Guest but will offer an alternative of the same standard as close as possible to the location requested if the Guest’s first choice is not available. Where the first choice of accommodation is not available and the alternative offered is not suitable the booking deposit/payment on your hotel accommodation is refundable.

Chauffeur Driven Tours

Reservations will be secured on receipt of your deposit. All Chauffeur Driven Tours include vehicle rental, insurance, gas, driver’s expenses, all taxes and fees. Gratuity not included. Optional extra costs to be covered by guest include tolls, ferries and parking costs. Driver/Guides are available for 8 hours per day in accordance with Irish law with a minimum overnight rest period of 11 hours.

Escorted Coach Tours:
Reservations will be secured on receipt of your deposit. Once your place on the tour is confirmed any cancellation or change will be subject to cancellation penalties or change fees.  Please specify preferred room type at time of booking.

Responsibility:
Shamrock Vacations, is not responsible for any personal injury, property damage or other loss a guest incurs on any travel (organized by Shamrock Vacations), arising from acts or omissions by any air carrier, public transport company, hotel, car rental company, subcontractor or other person or organization, whether or not such company is rendering any services supplied to Shamrock Vacations. All tickets and vouchers are issued and supplied subject to the foregoing and to any and all terms and conditions under which transportation and services are provided. Shamrock Vacations accepts no responsibility for losses or expenses due to delay or changes in schedules, flight cancellations due to mechanical problems, sickness, weather, strikes, war, quarantine or other causes. Customers must bear all such losses or expenses.

Applicable Law:
Guests contract with Shamrock Vacations is subject exclusively to and is governed by and constructed in accordance with the laws of the countries they are visiting (Ireland/Britain) and are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of those countries (Irish/Britain) courts.

  • Groups A, B & E: 14.50 EUR/day
  • Groups C, D, F, G & P: 18.50 EUR/day
  • Groups I, S, M, N, V, T, J, Y, W: 20.50 EUR/day
• City-Centre Surcharge: Dublin, Galway: 20-30 EUR
• One-way rental to/from: Killarney, Galway, Knock, Kerry: 25 EUR + 13.5% VAT
  • Republic of Ireland to Northern Ireland 50 to 150 EUR
  • (Note: only one surcharge will apply if both city-centre and one-way)
• Underage Fee (23/24): 10 to 30 EUR/day (see Note 3)
• Baby seats 40 EUR per hire, 100 EUR charge if not returned. 6 mo’s to 4 yrs.
• GPS rental 10 EUR/day

Note 1 – CDW Limits and Terms
Standard CDW (included) reduces your financial liability for damage caused to the vehicle from the full value of the vehicle to the value of the excess.
The excess is:
EUR € 1200 for car groups A, B & E
EUR € 1600 for car groups C, D, F, G, P
EUR € 1900 for car groups J, S, M, N, T, W

EUR € 2500 for car groups I, Y

Note 2 – Excess CDW Waiver
The standard Collision Damage Waiver Excess and Theft Protection Excess are reduced to zero thus eliminating any financial responsibility in the event of loss or damage to the rental vehicle (excluding tyres). The car rental company reserves the right to charge a deposit equal to the excess if the renter declines the Excess Waiver. The Excess Waiver provides complete “Peace of Mind” cover.

Note 3 – Age Requirements
The minimum age limit for drivers is 23 years. A fee will apply to drivers under the age of 25 years.  23/24 yrs, groups A, B & E only.  25 yrs, groups A, B, C, E, F & S only. 27 yrs add groups D, G & P, 30 yrs add groups I, J, M, N, T, W, Y
